Michel de Nostredame or Nostradamus (his Latinised name) was a French apothecary who sudden published a book entitled “Les Propheties” (or in English the Prophecies) which marked him also a prophet. This book contains a number of Nostradamus predictions. Some of the Nostradamus prophecies claimed by some have already been fulfilled. Nostradamus as he is more commonly known was born in December 14 or 21 1503. Originally his family was Jewish, but converted to Roman Catholicism.
Nostradamus was married twice (his first family was wiped out by plague) and was a practicing physician. It was during one of his visits to Italy that he was dabbled in the occult as a seer. It was during this time that he complied his predictions especially the long-term ones into a single book title “The Prophecies”. For those who have read his prophecies they proclaim that some these predictions have come to pass.
Here are 5 examples of Nostradamus predictions that came true according to those who read his prophecies:
5. The rise of Napoleon
PAU,NAY,LORON will be more of fire that of the blood, To swim in praise, the great one to flee to the confluence. He will refuse entry to the Piuses, The depraved ones and the Durance will keep them imprisoned.
Some of the Nostradamus predictions tend to mention a person in said prophecy directly by stating that person’s name outright. In this case if the PAU,NAY,LORON are re-arranged you get “Napaulon Roy” which can be read as Napoleon Bonaparte. The phrase “more of fire that of the blood” refers to his ascension as Emperor of France. Napoleon had no royal blood and his ascension to emperor was more to his skill and expertise in warfare (fire). Finally the “Piuses” mentioned here refer to the Pius VI and Pius VII who were popes imprisoned (durance) by Napoleon.
4. Outbreak of the French Revolution
From the enslaved people, songs, chants and demand, the princes and lords are held captive in prisons: In the future by such headless idiots these will be taken as divine utterances.”
“Before the war comes, the great wall will fall, The King will be executed, and his death coming too soon will be lamented. (The guards) will swim in blood, Near the River Seine the soil will be bloodied.
The French Revolution considered to be one of France’s major, but bloody event was described with accuracy by Nostradamus and is one of the Nostradamus predictions that was fulfilled. The French Revolution overturned France’s absolute monarchy and executed the most if not all of the aristocratic and religious classes by beheading through the guillotine. The “King” in this prophecy is Louis the XVI who suffered this capital punishment.
3. London’s Great Fire of 1666
The blood of the just will be demanded of London, Burnt by fire in the year 66”
“The blood of the just will commit a fault at London, burnt through lighting of twenty threes the six: The ancient lady will fall from her high place, several of the same sect will be killed.
London was gutted by a conflagration that lasted four days from Sunday, September 2 to Wednesday September 5 1666. The last two digits of year 1666 and the event which is a major fire fit the phrase “Burnt by fire in the year 66” and that the city of London is mentioned here makes this one of the Nostradamus predictions that has been fulfilled. The part that mentions “several of the same sect will be killed” refers to the burning of St. Paul’s Cathedral and the 87 parish churches of the Church of England or Anglican Church which happens to be a “sect” of the Christian faith.
2. The Second World War
“The two greatest ones of Asia and Africa, From the Rhine and Lower Danube they will be said to have come, Cries tears at Malta and the Ligurian side.”
The great global military conflict now known as the Second World War is the event prophesied in the words above. That would mean that this event is another one of the Nostradamus predictions that was fulfilled. The main instigator of the Second World War Germany or to more specific Nazi Germany is the referred in “From the Rhine and Lower Danube they will be said to have come”. Which brings us to another of the prophecies that is directly related to this one.
1. The rise of Adolf Hitler
From the depths of the West of Europe, A young child will be born of poor people, He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop; His fame will increase towards the realm of the East.”
“Beasts ferocious from hunger will swim across rivers: The greater one will cause it to be dragged in an iron cage when the Germany child observe nothing.”
“From the depths of the West of Europe, A young child will be born of poor people” refers to Hitler’s original place Austria and he was born from a poor family. His skill as an orator or a demagogue is mentioned in this words: “He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop”. By the time he became the Germany’s leader he was famous (or infamous) hence this words: “His fame will increase towards the realm of the East”. East may refer to the Soviet Union and Japan.
There believers and skeptics of interpretation of the many Nostradamus predictions that he wrote. One thing is certain: Nostradamus and his predictions will always be in spotlight.
